Project Management – PRINCE2® – Practitioner
PRINCE2® (Projects in Controlled Environments) 7th edition is an updated version of the widely recognised project management framework. This adaptable and flexible methodology can be customized for any project across various sectors and industries, encompassing all the necessary activities to direct, manage, and deliver a project successfully.

Learning outcomes
At the completion of the Practitioner course, you will learn:
- Be able to describe and apply all facets of project management, in accordance with the PRINCE2® method
- Know how to set up and manage complex projects, tailoring PRINCE2® while ensuring effective integration of the themes and life cycle
- Monitor the objectives of a project and make the essential adjustments to ensure successful delivery
This session is a mixture of theory and discussion and practical group-based learning involving post-it notes, markers, flip chart paper. An easy to understand and practical case study is used throughout the course. No laptops are required, all learning resources are supplied.
Duration
Two and a half days (16 hours). In addition, we recommended at least 10 hours of pre-course work and there is 1-2 hours of homework each evening.

Registered Trainer in PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, Agile PM, MSP, MoP, P3O, MoR, BBC, Managing Benefits and Change Management. He is also a Professional Scrum Master and PMP (Project Management Professional)
Paul Sutton’s focus is on helping people and organisations develop effective business cases, run successful projects, programmes and portfolios, make the changes and realise the benefits at the end. To do this Paul works with a wide range of people and organisations with training, coaching, consulting and hands-on delivery. Paul combines an in-depth process knowledge with 30 years of pragmatic hands-on experience in all of these areas.
Paul has a broad picture focus combined with strong analytical thinking. He is an excellent communicator and a dynamic and engaging presenter. As a result, he is able to give practical application to a huge range of questions and scenarios.
Along with his Registered Trainer status he also holds the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from PMI (Project Management Institute), is a Gateway Reviewer and a Professional Scrum Master. Paul divides his time between training and assisting organisations through coaching and consulting. Paul’s training and consulting clients are across the board including Government, Private, NGO, Corporate and Small to Medium Enterprises.
Paul owns and operates Project Results as an ATO (Accredited Training Organisation) focusing on building clients capability. Paul is very active in the professional community speaking at conferences and community events. He is also active in groups promoting best practice and professional development.

Once you register for the course, you will receive the “PRINCE2® 7th Edition” manual; PeopleCert Quick Reference Guide”; pre-course exercises, and the full online course. At the course, you are given a folder containing copies of all the course slides, extensive notes, exam practice, exercises, and sample exams from PeopleCert.
Practitioner prerequisites
Participants in the Practitioner course must have completed a Foundation course either online or in person. The Practitioner exam has a pre-requisite of having passed the Foundation exam.
Pass rates
For Practitioner courses, pass rate currently sits at 85%.
Professional development
PRINCE2 Registered Practitioners are required to be re-registered within 3 years of their original certification. This re-registration can either be by sitting a re-registration exam or through an AXELOS membership scheme.
Certification
PRINCE2 course is certified by the examination body, PeopleCert under the umbrella of the PRINCE2 owner AXELOS. This certification covers the PRINCE2 content as well as preparation for the Foundation and Practitioner exams and the trainers.
Project Results is a PRINCE2® Accredited Training Organisation (ATO). This accreditation has been given by APMG and PEOPLECERT, who along with accrediting ATOs, provides and moderates exams and accredits our trainers.
