Decarbonisation Workshop Series
Community Trust South (CTS) is partnering with Great South to deliver a Decarbonisation Workshop Series aimed at for Purpose (not-for-profit) community organisations.
The workshop series is the perfect place to start if your organisation is embarking on its low-emission journey. The workshop series is aimed at equipping your organisation with the knowledge, tools, and resources to support you in your emission-reduction journey. You’ll come away with a carbon baseline for your organisation and a customised emissions reduction plan and clear actions your organisation can take.
Why?
Climate change is one of the most significant issues and long-term challenges facing communities, our country, and the world. There’s a pressing need to respond to climate change and philanthropy can play an active role through the way we invest and partner with communities to support an equitable transition to a low carbon society.
CTS acknowledges that climate change will affect us all however not everyone or every community will be affected equally. There is the potential for existing inequities to be reinforced through the impacts of climate change and the transition to a low carbon future. Supporting a just, fair, and equitable transition will enable all people and communities to benefit from the opportunities presented through transitioning to a low carbon future.
By signing the Aotearoa Funders Commitment on Climate Action and establishing our own Climate Action strategic policy, Community Trust South has committed to act.
