Lean Workshop – Unleashing the Improvement Mindset

To help Southland businesses build these skills, we’re hosting a practical, full‑day workshop designed to introduce the foundations of continuous improvement and Lean thinking. 

• The session covers
• The distinction between Lean and continuous improvement, why organisations invest in them, what that investment requires, and the benefits achieved.
• The four essential steps and supporting principles that drive major performance improvements.
• Defining the leader’s role in Lean and continuous improvement, including the behaviours and team culture needed for success.
• How to invigorate and energise your team and hone their mindset to see the problems to be solved for immediate performance improvements.
• The role and application of the current state of AI for improvements.
• Research and Development Tax Credits

The session will also include Sophie Wiltshier from The Ministry of Business and Innovation. Sophie will provide an update the changing world of New Zealand Research and Development and information regarding the Tax Incentive scheme.
