Smart Factory Showcase

We are excited to announce that on November 2, 2023, the School of Advanced Engineering Technology, in collaboration with the Southland-Otago Regional Engineering Collective (SOREC) and the Employers & Manufacturers Association (EMA), will host the Smart Factory Showcase. This event will take place at Hansen Hall, Invercargill, commencing at 8:30am and concluding at 12:00pm.

The Smart Factory Showcase is a complimentary, interactive session carefully crafted to demystify and elucidate the concepts of Industry 4.0, utilising a world-leading New Zealand example. During this session, we will emphasise how integrating smart technologies enhances efficiency, productivity, and connectivity, addresses common manufacturing challenges, and streamlines systems and processes. This Showcase offers an excellent opportunity to initiate or advance our own Industry 4.0 journey, making it highly beneficial for all engineering professionals and students seeking to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements.
