In 2020, Graham Dick memorial trophy was established and again we will be privileged to present this trophy to a Southland recipient to recognise their service to export in Southland.

Finalists announced for Southland Business Chamber’s export awards
The finalists for this year’s Southland Business Chamber Export Gala awards have been announced. The business chamber’s event manager Leanne Humphrey said she was thrilled to be able to announce the finalists and said she was excited about the diversity and calibre of this year’s submissions. “Record numbers were received, from big businesses to some innovative start-ups,” she said.

Innovation in Export Award
The NZAS Innovation in Export award is a special award to recognise a Southland business which displays outstanding innovation in the exporting industry.
Innovation is not just inventing. It can include anything genuinely innovative; product or service, leadership, positioning or branding, marketing, sales channels, technology, creative pricing strategy or similar that is distinctly different and differentiates their business.
The winner of this award will illustrate how innovative strategies and practices have contributed to exporting success and applicants are asked to describe how their enterprise has invested in developing innovative thinking, products, services, initiatives, processes, or a business model that has been integral to the enterprise’s success or establishment.
Southland Export Mentorship
DHL are excited to announce a Business Corporate Mentorship. Open to any business that is looking at taking their product to export or current exporters looking at new markets.
With extensive experience in the Export Sector, DHL is willing to share their insights with new and potential exporter so that the recipient can grow professionally and personally.
Export Southland Grant
The Southland Export Grant 2024 has $15,000 to support individuals and businesses engaged in the export sector, regardless of scale. We invite applications aimed at fostering projects or initiatives that enhance the export sector.
This grant aims to aid Southland businesses in their export endeavors, fostering sustainability and growth. It supports activities such as expansion, training, promotion, education, research, and development within the export sector. Over the years grants have assisted many local export businesses towards developing their products and chosen international markets.
