Heritage and Future Celebrated as Lobb Optical pave way for new era in service

Lobb Optical, a respected optometrist in Southland, recently hosted a successful Business After Five event in collaboration with the Southland Business Chamber, launching their new brand, new premises and showcasing their leading edge technology; the event saw , attendees learn about the company’s long legacy of generational care in Southland, as well as their significant investment in technology.

As a testament to the company’s dedication to eye care, Lobb Optical Southlands was the first in New Zealand to purchase the Claris camera, which allows for detailed photos of the back of the eyeball to be taken. This innovative investment demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing the most advanced and accurate diagnoses for their patients, and their investment in the latest equipment and training is part of their ongoing strategy.

The event was made even more poignant by a heartfelt testimonial from a grateful attendee who credited Lobb Optical for potentially saving their sight through early detection of eye diseases. This powerful reminder of the importance of early intervention left a lasting impact on all those in attendance.

Glenn Cockroft commented ‘I had noticed a deterioration in eyesight, and being aware of waiting lists within the Health system, a family history of Glaucoma and a Mother who had lost site in one eye as a result – I came to Lobb Optical, they acted immediately, I received an urgent referral to the specialist eye clinic  and I can honestly say, without their input I might not have my sight today’

Richard Lobb spoke at the event about the company’s commitment to providing the highest quality eye care services to their patients, and to investing in advanced technology to support that mission.
