Today, local businesses joined us for a Dodge the Drama: No Disciplinary Disasters, No Grievance Grenades workshop, facilitated by employment law specialist Angela MacKenzie from PRLaw.
The workshop unpacked some of the trickiest workplace situations, helping attendees understand the difference between poor performance, misconduct, and incapacity, while providing practical guidance on managing disciplinary processes fairly and confidently.
Through real-life examples and interactive discussion, Angela shared straightforward strategies for setting clear expectations, avoiding common pitfalls, and handling difficult conversations before they escalate. As always, there was an opportunity for discussion and questions, with attendees leaving with greater confidence to navigate employment issues in their own workplaces.
