BB12 – Mataura Valley Milk.
The Mataura Valley Milk Tour was an incredible experience, hosted by GM Paddy Mc Myler and his fantastic team, with a special shoutout to Sonia and Prinita! We had the pleasure of welcoming 40 guests from the Southland region.
One of the highlights was learning about their groundbreaking new electric boiler, powered by certified renewable electricity. This impressive innovation will eliminate about 22,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent Scope 1 emissions from the site annually, making Mataura Valley Milk the first all-electric dairy factory in New Zealand.
We were captivated by the buzzing machines and the seamless efficiency of the robots at work. The day was perfectly rounded off with a delightful lunch, an informative presentation, and a guided tour of the site. It was a day well spent, filled with learning and inspiration!
