Briefing with Hon Scott Simpson
Thank you to Hon Scott Simpson, who presented to our members at a public Meeting today. Scott is National’s Workplace Relations Spokesman on Labour’s Fair Pay Agreements. Recently, employers have had to cope with minimum wage increases – even if they were not employing staff on the lowest rate, the flow on effect impacts their wage outgoings substantially. Now the Government is proposing Fair Pay Agreements: the reintroduction of 1970s style interference in the workplace, helpful for the unions, but certainly not for the people who actually create jobs.
