Export Gala | Southland to the World
Friday night saw the biennial Export Gala – Southland to the World event, brought to you by DHL Global Forwarding held at the Ascot Park Hotel. We not only showcased the best food producers in the region, utilising our Murihiku Food Map, but it was a true celebration of exporting out of the Murihiku region.
This year’s judges commented on the quality of the entries and the challenge it was to select a winner. But the 2024 winners are,
– New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) Innovation Award – BACKLANZ, Ethan Todd.
– DHL Mentorship Recipient – George Munro-Hokonui, Laura Todd.
– Export Southland Grant Recipients – Davaar & Co, Kate Macdonald, and Resolution Farming App.
– Graham Dick Memorial Trophy supported by McIntyre Dick – Keith Neylon, agriculture and business entrepreneur.
An event like this can’t happen without the support of our committed sponsors,
– DHL Global Forwarding as naming partner of the event.
– New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) for sponsoring the Innovation Award.
– McIntyre Dick supporting the Graham Dick Memorial Trophy.
– South Port NZ
– Air New Zealand Cargo
– Blue River Dairy LP
– 360 Logistics Group.
Export Southland is also proudly supported by South Port NZ. Export Southland is there for four main purposes.

– Recognise significant business and individual contributions to the export sector.
– Assist start-up export orientated businesses.
Congratulations to everyone who made the event a success.
