Export Southland – Brews and Bites with Garston Hops
Our latest Brews & Bites event brought together Southland’s export community for an evening of great conversation and networking. The spotlight was on Garston Hops, a proudly Southland-grown business making waves in the global brewing scene.
James McNamee from Garston Hops delivered a presentation that felt more like hanging out with friends, relaxed, engaging, and full of back-and-forth with the guests. His approachable, down-to-earth style made it easy for everyone to connect, and the room buzzed with questions.
Guests enjoyed a tasting of three distinct craft beers brewed with Garston Hops, one in particular was a hit, you can get yourself a flavourful “The Watcher” craft beer from the wonderful team at the Tuatara Cafe. Paired with local hearty hot pies, the evening offered the perfect blend of flavour and camaraderie.
The atmosphere was energetic and fun, with exporters, aspiring exporters, and service providers mingling over brews and bites. It was a celebration of Southland’s export spirit and a reminder of the pride we share in putting our region on the map.
