Leadership Academy Alumni Connect. Sharesies NZ
Leadership Academy alumni and inspirers along with Lion Foundation Young Enterprise students, Southland Chamber members’, and the COIN South community were invited to hear from Susannah Batley, Head of Equity Capital Markets and Company Partnerships and Alice Rountree, a Senior Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets and Company Partnerships team at Sharesies NZ.
Sharesies NZ was founded by six Kiwis that together had a vision of creating financial empowerment for everyone. Their vision was to give someone with $5 and someone with $5million the same investment opportunities.
Six years later from when they first founded and today Sharesies is used by over 600,000 customers and offers investments into funds and shares in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
While in Southland, Susannah and Alice shared the Sharesies story with students at Fiordland College and James Hargest College, and were guest speakers at a luncheon for Fiordland Business Assocation (FBA) members’ and also at The 2022 DHL Export Southland Awards.
