The Great Debate – Gore
Gore locals turned up for an evening of civic engagement and spirited discussion at The Great Debate, hosted by MC Jeff Grant. With the 2025 Local Body Elections fast approaching, this event gave residents a chance to meet their council and mayoral candidates face-to-face, ask the tough questions, and hear firsthand the visions that could shape the district’s future.
Candidate Speed Dating: A fast-paced, small-group format allowed attendees to connect directly with council candidates.
Mayoral Panel Debate: Incumbent Mayor Ben Bell and challenger Nicky Davis shared their perspectives on key issues including council spending, economic development, and community trust.
With 60 attendees and plenty of thoughtful questions from the floor, the night proved that Gore is a community that cares deeply about its future. Thanks to everyone who came, listened, and made their voices heard.
