Climate Action Toolbox
The new Climate Action Toolbox is a free, easy-to-use online tool that shows you how to reduce your emissions. It brings together the best tools, resources and information to make it easy for New Zealand businesses to take action.
The Toolbox was created by the Sustainable Business Network in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, EECA, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Meridian, BNZ, Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and DNA.
The toolbox is a self-assessment tool to identify impact areas relevant to each business. It focuses on five key areas – transport (moving people and goods), office operations, site operations and equipment, and the design and making of products. Under each impact area, businesses are presented with specific actions they can take along with a step-by-step implementation guide.
The objective of the Climate Change Toolbox is to:
- Give business leaders the tailored information they need to take climate action
- Ensure New Zealand businesses are in the best position to promote their products and services to customers who are interested in sustainability
- Grow the business community’s knowledge of the climate challenge
- Drive action across New Zealand to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
