The Southland Business Chamber created a special edition board game as a way to promote our region, and support our members’ in an innovative, fun and entertaining way.
In this edition of MONOPOLY, positions on the board are not ranked, we have instead created a theme around one of the Top 10 drives of the World – The Southern Scenic Route.
Your journey will begin from the rich cultural heart of Eastern Southland, before a trip through a world of spectacular waterfalls and rugged coastlines leading to The Catlins Coast. Follow the route to Invercargill through to Stirling Point, in Bluff. Catch the ferry to Rakiura / Stewart Island, returning to the mainland to explore the pristine wilderness of Fiordland via the lush greens and blues of Western Southland and Northern Southland.
Southland produces some of New Zealand’s finest foods so don’t forget to stop along the way to enjoy world renowned local delicacies like Bluff oysters and cheese rolls.
So gather your friends and family, locate your favourite places, roll the dice to begin your property building empire as you explore New Zealand’s ultimate destination, Murihiku / Southland.
