Born and raised in Southland I have worked here my entire career except for a 2 ½ year secondment in Auckland. Married with 5 girls I am a family orientated person who also wants to ensure our regions success for ours and future generations.
Amongst other roles I have worked for a large corporate company in senior management positions and then Managing Director for a medium sized engineering business which I have now exited. I therefore am acutely aware of what challenges businesses face in our current environment and I want to be able to add my skills, experience and expertise to the chamber board to compliment the team and continue on the great work already accomplished.
My vision is to help grow business in Southland, so it is a great place to live and work and that we are also delivering maximum value from them to grow our local economy while also driving more vocational training. My work as a Business Mentor coupled with working alongside Southland’s youth demonstrates my commitment not only to the region and growing Southland.inc, but also in developing our people for the future. As a member of the NZ Institute of Directors I am also committed to continued learning and development of myself.
