Helen Robinson
Originally from England and having moved to Invercargill from Shetland (an archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland), Helen arrived with her family just before lockdown in 2020.
Helen began her management career working in London as Operations Director for a Housing and Support provider and later as Registered Manager for aged care services in Shetland where she resided with her family for 10 years.
On moving to Southland Helen held the diverse role of GM for The Southland Charity Hospital and most recently was appointed as the Project Manager for The Hawthorndale Care Village.
Helen understands the unique challenges faced by rural and remote communities and appreciates the strength in supporting local, working collaboratively and the importance of developing positive relationships.
“Working within and leading multiple teams, I understand that a positive culture and an open working environment result in a solution-focused dynamic to meet objectives and get the job completed”.
Helen sits on the Local Executive Committee for CCS Disability and her new role with the exciting Hawthorndale Care Village allows her to continue her passion for working with people to live their best life.
Helen and her family are thoroughly enjoying the Southland lifestyle and look forward to continuing to explore all that the region has to offer.
