TradeQual Southland is an evening dedicated to honouring the heart of our region – our skilled tradespeople.

This annual graduation dinner recognises:

• The achievements of newly qualified trades graduates
• The employers who support on‑the‑job training and development
• Our industry training partners who help make it happen
• The immense value the trades bring to Southland’s economy

TradeQual is more than a dinner – it’s a night of pride, connection, and celebration.

What the Evening Involves

During the event, a certificate is presented on behalf of the Southland business community by the Mayors of Southland and the Southland Business Chamber to all graduates who attend.

Eligibility

To be eligible, graduates must:

• Have completed their qualification within the recognised presentation period
• Hold an NZQA Level 4 qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Be currently employed by a Southland employer
